Before gluing the surface has to be adequately prepared – it has to be quite even, dry, and clear of oil and any other contamination that could hinder the gluing process. In case of very dusty surfaces they need to be primed first. Wakol D3540 has the consistency of a very thick liquid, so it is best to apply it with velour roller with short hair. An even layer of glue needs to be mixed thoroughly and applied carefully on the bottom side of the cork, as well as on the surface it will be glued to. Quantity has to be enough to create a thin but tight cover. Then we leave it for drying. When the glue becomes completely transparent, the cork can be glued to the surface. Caution is advised, as the glue binds instantly. Consumption: 200g per SQM (2.5kgs is enough for around 12 SQM of cork)
